This is a 528i and is very different than most. As a stock vehicle, it was assembled on a limo chassis. This means it is more rigid, safer, and even more well-balanced. It is quite possible this car is a european model. It has some "m" characteristics and when i installed the new front struts, the more heavy duty bracing and suspension was obvious. I also believe the in-line six is of the highest horsepower offered from the factory for the 5 series in 2000, (193hp). I retained all the stock parts that were upgraded, except for wear parts like brakes, etc. The upgrades are: cross-drilled slotted titanium plated rotors with ceramic pads, an afe (non oil type) cold air intake, (recommended by a friend who races bmw's), racing quality spark plug coils from "autohaus" , new ngk spark plugs and heavy duty boots, and a "hyper chip". This chipis installed to the wiring harness, the original harness does not get altered in any way. The chip, the intake, and the coils, i'm sure add a good 25 hp. I noticed a difference in performance and better gas mileage as each were installed. Now having all three upgrades working at once adds a lot of driving pleasure. Ever since i owned this car it was serviced by a bmw dealership in conn. All oil changes, and very minor things that warranted replacement were changed at these intervals. I would more than likely not be selling or trading this car if it weren't for a left foot injury. The other selling factor is i have another sedan that is black with tan interior and i would like a much smaller car for my 2nd car at this point of my life. I've always liked corvettes and am willing to communicate with any owners who are selling, trading, etc. Feel free to email me with any comments or questions.
